New workshop on Poe:intertextuality, parody and literary genres

METHODOLOGY:
The participants and the lecturer will accomplish a process of deconstruction of the text.

CONTENT:
The workshop will be based exclusively on the tale “The Thousand-And-Second Tale of Scheherazade” which contains elements that belong to the field of theory of literature such as intertextuality, parody, multiple narrators, authorship and literary genres.

BIO: She holds a Master´s and PhD in Literatures of English Language at UFRGS and was awarded a Fulbright scholarship in 2001 to study American literature/culture in NYC at New School University.

Oficina de Memórias de tradução ou computer-assisted translation - Trados 2006

EMENTA:Introdução às ferramentas CAT ou memórias de tradução (características principais e aplicações). Trados 2006: principais funcionalidades, como análise de documentos, criação e atualização da memória, tradução propriamente dita, manuseio de diferentes formatos de arquivo, como .doc, .ppt, .xls e .html.

METODOLOGIA: Apresentação expositiva das funcionalidades do programa, ilustrada com tarefas típicas do dia a dia do tradutor.

PALESTRANTE: Ms. Denise Arend

BIO: Formada em Letras (português/inglês) pela Universidade Luterana do Brasil, com Especialização em Língua Inglesa pela UNILASALLE e Mestrado em Estudos da Tradução pela Aston University, Birmingham, Inglaterra. Atua na Scientific Linguagem desde 2000, como tradutora e revisora no par português/inglês, e desde 2002 como sócia-diretora e gerente de publicações (revistas biomédicas).
